David Birge

As Director of Computation at ORG, David leads the research, development and application of computational analysis and simulation tools across ORG’s building, city, and region projects.
Working alongside ORG’s designers, he develops computational models that support decision-making in complex infrastructural and territorial systems, balancing economic, environmental, and social objectives. David recently led the development of tools to plan the shift away from car dependency in Antwerp, optimize future spatial planning in the North Sea, and apply GNSS data to urban planning analysis across Europe.
David is currently building tools for design self-sustaining farm communities, guide urban master planning, and create new approaches to time-based programming.
